I'm a data engineer and platform architect with 10+ years in software and data engineering, with deep focus on cloud data platforms and Databricks. I founded Sparkvern to deliver the kind of architecture-led consulting I wished existed when I was building platforms on the client side.
Before Sparkvern, I built production data platforms for banking institutions, manufacturing conglomerates, FMCG companies, and financial technology firms. Every case study on this site comes from work I directly architected and delivered.
I'm based in Krakow, Poland, and work with clients across Europe, the Middle East, and the US.
How We Work
Sparkvern operates as an Architecture Center of Excellence. This means every engagement is architecture-led, senior-only, and delivers fixed-scope outcomes — not open-ended time-and-materials billing.
Architecture-Led by Default
Every project starts with architecture design — not code. We define the target state, the migration path, and the deliverables before writing a single line. This prevents the scope creep and rework that plagues traditional consulting engagements.
Senior-Only Execution
No junior handoffs, no learning on your budget. When you engage Sparkvern, you work with the principal architect who designed the system. The person on the architecture call is the same person writing the Terraform modules.
Fixed-Scope Phases
Engagements are structured as fixed-scope phases with defined deliverables. You know what you'll get, when you'll get it, and what it costs. No surprise bills, no indefinite timelines.
Enterprise-Grade by Design
We design for production from day one: IaC, CI/CD, monitoring, security, governance. Not as "nice-to-haves" bolted on later, but as foundational elements of the platform architecture.

Assessment
For platform engagements, we start with a health check or architecture review to understand the current state. This produces a written assessment with prioritized recommendations.
Roadmap
We define the implementation phases, deliverables, timeline, and investment. Each phase is independently valuable — you don't have to commit to the entire roadmap to get value from phase one.
Execution
Architecture design, implementation, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer. Delivered as working infrastructure and code, not slide decks.
